Prince of Wales Clinical School (POWCS) has a long tradition of integrating research, teaching, and clinical care. We have world class research facilities, based in the Prince of Wales Hospital in the clinically related disciplines of neurology, nephrology, respiratory, surgery, oncology, amongst others. We also have close affiliations with many centres of renown such as the St Vincent’s Hospital and Garvan Institute.

We provide excellent infrastructure and support to our postgraduate students to pursue high quality research.

We encourage you to peruse the information that follows, which we hope may attract you to join us in what we believe will be a rewarding, educational and collegial experience for you.

Health and Safety

UNSW has strict requirements regarding Health and Safety (H&S). All postgraduate students are required to complete H&S Awareness Training as a basic introductory course. It is also newly available online on 'Blackboard' via MyUNSW - please contact Kara Jacob for further information about this option.

Also, if you are working in a laboratory, there are further requirements for training as determined by your supervisor. The types of courses available are listed at the H&S website.
